Deleting facebook account

Once again time for some further clarification regarding the deletion process.

Based on many success-stories, I know for a fact that it works. The crucial step is to not use your Facebook account for 14 days after you've requested deletion. Only the slightest interaction with Facebook and the deletion is cancelled!

So, I've updated the information regarding this, which now reads:

Your account will be deactivated for two weeks, and if you DO NOT USE FACEBOOK IN ANY WAY during that period, your account is permanently deleted.

I REPEAT: Your profile isn't deleted right away! You must NOT log in to, or interact in any other way with Facebook for at least two weeks, as it will cancel the deletion request. That includes NOT logging in to Facebook using any client (like the iPhone app or IM:s like Pidgin), NOT clicking embedded Like-buttons on other websites, NOT logging in to other services using Facebook Connect (like Digg) etc etc.

Hey, while your're at it, delete all your browsing/forms history and cookies as well, to minimize the risk of accidentally using your account!

If you want out - stay out, mmmkay? ;)

---------------------------------[2009-10-05]---------------------------------

Updated ways of contacting Facebook (only by email now).

Tried to clear things up a bit regarding the deletion process. You can't imagine how many mails I get saying that the deletion doesn't work. 99 % of the time people are just too eager to check if it actually worked, logging in to their deactivated account, hence canceling the deletion request.

domain and website design software

When it comes to designing your website, you have so many options it can make your head spin. There are various free tools on the Internet that will work well, but for a truly special site, you may want to buy some professional website design software. These have everything you need to help you build a professional and slick looking website. These also come with detailed instructions on how to use the software, as well as help.
You may not know what to choose when it comes to website design software, and it may depend solely on what you can do with a computer and how much help you need. When you look at some websites you like, see if they list what type of software was used to build that site. This may help you narrow down your list. You may also want to email some webmasters to see if they will let you know what they used. You may not get a response, but it is worth a shot.
The website design software I have found pretty easy to use is Swish. This program makes it easy to build a nice looking website without being too complicated. This is great for a beginner, because the controls are easy to use, and once you get the hang of it, it is easy to build and update your site. It also makes it easy to upload your site to your server and everything seems to run smoothly.
Your selection of website design software may come down to price. The best software won’t do you much good if you can’t afford it. You may be able to find used versions on eBay, but make sure it is a legal copy before you buy it. You may find new software at a great price, but remember that the lower the price, the less it can do.
Don’t forget to search the net for ideas and information. Look for reviews for website design software, and read all you can. This will help you discover which software works the best, and which types are more user friendly than others. Quite often the best advertisement for any type of software is testimony from those who have used it. See what users have to say about ease of use, price, and the results. If the software is easy to use, it won’t be worth the price if it cannot give you a professional looking website when you are finished.

Spider or not

Have you had a close encounter with a nasty looking spider? Or maybe you haven't been so lucky and have actually been bitten!!
Spider identification can be an enormous help especially when travelling abroad to countries such as Australia where some are some seriously scary, venomous and dangerous critters.

Ad blocker

An ad blocker can help you with pesky ads which constantly interrupt the joys of your web browsers. These ads will keep coming up and coming up, annoying you and breaking your concentration while you are reading the fascinating contents of the wikipedia, or perhaps checking your email. It is impossible to figure out why these people persist in their incessant spamming when it is clear that you don't want to buy their juk, but it is clear that an ad blocker is the only way to prevent these annoying ads. If you are a parent, an ad blocker can be necessary to protect your children from the sometimes harmful contents of the internet. Many ads that pop up may advertise things that are potentially dangerous or upsetting to children, such as pornography or shocking videos and documentaries. An ad blocker will decrease the likelihood of these advertisements popping up, and even if they sometimes do, they will be much more infrequent if you have an ad blocker.

Besides this, ad blockers will greatly increase your performance of your web browser. The amount of resources taken up by ads that repeatedly pop up and pop up is ridiculous – it wastes your computers processing power, and it wastes your time. But with an ad blocker, you can go right where you want on the internet without bothering about advertisements.
Of course, an ad blocker alone is not enough to stop all web mischief on your computer. Some systems will install harmful “malware” on your computer which will stop it from functioning correctly. This software will keep track of where you go on the internet and sends reports back to advertisers so that they can track you and try to sell things to you. It can also subver ad blockers and make you see advertisements that should be blocked. They can even use web diverters on you, which make your computer go to sites other than the one which you chose to go to, and make some web sites unavailable to you. To stop this ruthless plundering of your computer by unethical hackers, it is essential that you obtain a virus detector and eliminator to stop them from infecting you. Also, you must always be sure to use the internet responsibly. Do not go to web sites with lots of ads or places that look “fishy” or seem to promise illegal or questionable services. These are more likely than any others to be the ones to subvert your computer and ruin your productivity.

Water as fuel for cars

The New Fuel Economy has several new aspects
  • Your use of fuel must be much Greener now – nowadays by government discipline and it's being enforced internationally as well. In other words if you dont want to switch your entire fleet to electric, which is very expensive, you can continue to use fuel as usual but DRASTICALLY LOWER EMISSIONS in all vehicles. I believe the authorities will start to crank down on off-road vehicles, boats and generators soon. They should, because every engine that hasn't been optimized yet contributes to the overall pollution.

  • When it comes to fuel economy, straight off when you pour too many dollars into the fuel pump today, everyone feels they must save every possible penny, and they are right. In a tight economy having a 20% advantage or even 10% over your competition may mean survive or fail. This is true for a company fleet as well as your family “fleet.”

  • Maintenance is another factor – anything that saves fuel AND saves on maintenance is more than welcome. Fleet manager have always known this and look at everything from its dollar value viewpoint. Nowadays the family “manager” must look at all expenses just as if it was a business. Engines breaking down means less money to spend on education, future investments and simple family fun time.

  • Another factor that my broad view from years of overlooking the subject Fuel Economy, is that NEW WINDS are blowing ever so hard. Businesses and families are much more open to trying out new gizmos and methods to save and improve the quality of life. Technologies that in the past were regarded as weird or fringe, are now being more mainstream – simply because users are willing to try out new ideas, because they have come to realize that automakers and machine makers haven't perfected their products.

  • Politicians ride the wave. They pitch The New Fuel Economy and everything Green, which is not bad for you because they have helped to pass many laws that make governments pay incentives for greener use of energy at large. More is needed, but the wind is blowing in the right direction, and will continue so as long as we have pollution and high energy needs.

  • China is another factor that not too many talk about. China is big and has always faced big problems. Nowadays it's energy – china is the most industrious nation and its energy needs are greater than we may realize. The Chinese are desperately looking for cheaper energy sources, and the phrase “they are open” doesn't even start to describe their thirst for clean, dependable and above all affordable energy, which is why their quest is the “greenest” despite the photos and reports about pollution in China.

Backache

Have you ever had that feeling? You know the one where your back is just killing you and you don't know why. I always hate that! Every once in a while I will wake up in the morning and have random back pains. Let me tell you, it's not a good way to start the day. Now, the big question is; what are the absolute best and most effective back pain remedies? If you already know the answer to this question, then you're certainly ahead of most of us. Maybe it's high time to evaluate your lifestyle and daily regimes. This can help lead you to the source of your aches and pains.
When it comes to back pain remedies, I guess I have a few up my sleeve. The first thing I decided to evaluate is where I sleep. Now, if you spend your nights snoozing in a hammock, then you shouldn't be too surprised by your constant back afflictions. However, if you sleep on a so-called quality mattress, then maybe it's time to do some re-evaluating. You see, when it comes to mattresses, there is one thing everyone should keep in mind; we all have different needs. Sure we all want to acquire a good night's rest on a regular basis, but how do we achieve that? Well, it all depends on your body.

This is why checking out all of the newest and most recommended mattresses is imperative. Find the one that suits you perfectly. This is one of the best back pain remedies. In my opinion, if you're waking up in the morning with back pains, it's probably what you're sleeping on. Your career can also be the culprit when it comes to back aches. Are you a construction worker, or do you lift heavy objects all day long? These are also crucial factors when it comes to our delicate backs. Some back pain remedies may be to always remember to lift with your legs, or always wear a back brace or belt like weight lifters do.
The funny thing about back pain remedies is that so many of them are right under our noses, but we don't even know it. Since many contemporary jobs require a great deal of computer and keyboard work, you'll always want to remember to use the proper positioning and take plenty of breaks. These are some of the most effective back pain remedies. If you slouch in your chair and fail to type properly, you could end up with all sorts of back and arm trouble. For more information on back pain remedies, you can always hop online.

Stress

Days like today, I would love to know what my blood pressure reading would be. Everyone knows what I'm talking about - the tension, the frustrations, the overwhelming urge to scream. We've all been there. My wife is always stressed beyond her limitations. A few weeks ago, we were taking a stress test that we found online, and she scored much higher than I did. That alarming score caused us to do a bit of research. I checked out many different articles on stress and learned quite a few things. Some of my findings were common sense and some of the tips and suggestions simply made me roll my eyes.
My personal favorites were articles on stress management that I managed to stumble upon. One site informed me that I need to learn to say no. How in the world do I say no to my boss when I'm feeling overwhelmed. That may hold true for biting off more than you can chew in your life outside of work, but I'm sure if I said no to my boss, I'd be reading the employment section.

Many of the articles on stress control had some great tips as to how to maintain your cool. Getting organized and staying on top of projects and situations is not only a great tip for managing stress but for your everyday life! Truly though, the best of all the articles on stress control talks about how to let go of the irrational concept that people should be stress-free. That's impossible. Stress exists all around us each and every day. We all just need to learn how to manage that tension better.
I found that a variety of magazines have useful articles on stress as well. Most of the tips all focus on the same concepts - breathing, counting to 10 and taking time to focus on your own self. While all of those suggestions are probably more helpful to others than they are for me, I'd rather read some articles on stress elimination. I don't even know if there are any suggestions out there for that, but if there are, sign me up!
In my investigating, some of the articles on stress management suggest taking relaxing vacations to remove yourself from the situation. For those of us who live paycheck to paycheck, that isn't always a possibility. Nowhere in any of those articles on stress did they make a suggestion as to how I can afford to take a vacation without incurring any additional financial stress. If you're looking for ways to manage your stress, be sure to find some methods that are practical for you and your lifestyle. Don't accrue any additional financial stress that will harm you more in the long run.....or start smoking!

Card tricks

Do you have a crazy uncle in your family? I sure do in mine. Uncle Artie is the person to avoid at family gatherings. If you are unlucky enough to get cornered by him you will spend the afternoon listening to jokes that were old the last time he told them to you. No one else will come to your rescue either; they feel that if Uncle Artie is talking to you they are safe.
Last week my family had a graduation party, and Uncle Artie was there. I had just arrived and had taken my present to the gift table in the corner of the living room when I spotted him coming towards me. There were too many people to make a quick getaway, I was stuck. I caught my sister’s eye from across the room and saw her smile with a glint in her eye. She already knew what I was about to find out, Uncle Artie has been working on card tricks. As soon as I saw him pull the deck of cards out of his pocket I knew that I was doomed. He was very excited to tell me that he had several card tricks that he wanted to show me. I knew I had to think fast or spend the entire party backed into the corner by the gift table. I told Uncle Artie that my husband would be very interested in the card tricks, so we should locate him before the show started. This allowed me to at least get out of the corner.

Uncle Artie was close on my heels as I walked through the room trying to spot my husband. He had gone outside to play bocce ball. I asked Uncle Artie to wait with his card tricks until the ball game was over. He looked very disappointed, but then he spotted another new guest and went to show them the card tricks. My sister was amazed when she saw that I had avoided the card tricks. I told her that I had only bought myself some time, but at least I was no longer trapped by the gift table. She said that she had seen the card tricks with a group of people when Artie first arrived; she said that some of them were pretty good.
When my husband came in from outside Artie was eating. We decided to eat also so we filled our plates in the buffet line and found a place to sit. We were about half way done with our food when Artie found us. He took out his deck of cards and began shuffling them for the first of what promised to be many card tricks. He started by asking me to draw a card and remember what it was. He then shuffled the deck and produced my card from the top of the deck. I was surprised at how well he pulled this off. His other card tricks were also entertaining. After showing them to us he moved on to another group. We had to agree that watching card tricks was a vast improvement over the jokes and stories that Uncle Artie usually tells.

How to find owner of an unknown number

Two hundred years ago the average age of companies was measured in generations. The average age of companies today is running at 30 years, and futurists predict that within the next 20 years the average age of companies will be just 5 years. These statistics carry profound ramifications for each one of us because the working life of the average individual is 50 years!
For the first time in modern business history, each of us is being forced to face up to the reality that we are, in effect, in business for ourselves. Although we sell time, the value placed upon the time we sell is determined by the quality of our product – our knowledge! The more effective we are at applying our knowledge, the higher the value the market will place on our time!
The quality of your knowledge product though is not, in isolation, sufficient because your potential customers are all companies and these are, by their very nature, made up of teams of people - teams of people with diversified knowledge and skills. Therefore, the true measure of how valuable your product is relates directly to how effective you are at delivering direct results through making meaningful contributions to the team within which you operate.

From an age where we were told what to do, and we did it, we have moved into an environment where we often have to assess for ourselves what needs to be done - and then we have to figure out what we are best at doing in order to make the contribution that needs to be made. This reality means that we have to take responsibility for ourselves and pay careful attention to compiling, and continuously revising, our personal business plan. No company will, today, plan your career – you have to do that for yourself!
This is where the true challenge lies, because to plan our lives, to formulate our business plan, we have to have clarity as to who we are - we have to understand ourselves. Sure, we all want to be happy, healthy, and loved, but our minds are so turbulent and our bodies under such stress as a result, that we fail to pay attention to that one part of our being that acts as the cement for everything else and helps us identify our purpose and direction in life – our soul.
The first step in understanding yourself is to understand the connectivity between the three aspects of who you are – your body, your mind, and your soul:
  • Your Body is the collection of molecules that enables you to experience the world. It includes the sensory equipment that connects you to your environment (hearing, feeling, seeing, tasting and smelling) and the motor system that enables you to act (your vocal apparatus, hands and feet). Each day your sensory experiences are influenced by the ever-changing chemistry and electricity of your nervous system, which in turn influences every cell and organ in your body. In this way, your experiences affect you biologically.

  • Your Mind is a field of thoughts, engaging in a continuous conversation about what has happened, what is happening and what might happen to you. In response to your perpetual experiences you form opinions, discriminations, evaluations and judgements, coloured by emotional reactions. Your thoughts, memories, desires and feelings are various expressions of your mind.

  • Your Soul is the silent witness to your mind and body. Your body is changing – look at a photograph of yourself from ten years ago and see how different it is to what you look like today. Your mind is changing – your beliefs about yourself and the world are different today compared to earlier times in your life. Quietly your soul observes all this, providing continuity to your identity and providing you with the stability you need to maintain balance.

When your observing soul, thought-generating mind and physical body are aligned, you are most likely to translate your intentions into choices that result in the outcome you desire. It is a decision from the soul that allows you to move through the door of change in such a way that you have absolutely no intention of retreating. This resolve we know as commitment - a commitment to ourselves!

Broadand Internet

Broadband Internet is an option that a lot of people are using for their web surfing needs. Broadband for consumer use can be either DSL, which is usually provided by a phone company, or cable Internet, which comes from your cable company. In many cases, broadband service means faster page loads when surfing the net, quicker downloads of data, and an overall faster experience when looking at photos and videos. Even with this fast type of service, things can sometimes slow down. One of the first things you need to do when this happens is run a broadband speed test on your connection.
If you call your Internet provider, they may be able to run a broadband speed test on your computer while you wait. It generally only takes a moment, and they can tell you rather quickly if the problem is on their end or yours. They may also have a website that you can go to, if you can still get online, and it will run the broadband speed test for you. You will see your results displayed right there on your computer screen.

If you have taken your broadband speed test and they find nothing wrong on their end, your connection might be off because of your connection. You may have a wire or connector that has come loose, and in some cases, you will need to reset your modem. The last time I found my service to be painfully slow, it was because the memory on my modem had been full. I’m not sure what kind of data this collects or uses, but once the memory was emptied, my connection was fine.
When there is no problem on your end, no problem on your service providers end, and you have passed the broadband speed test with flying colors, most likely there is something else wrong with your computer. In many cases, you will find that you have spyware, malware, or a virus tying up your computer. Some viruses use up so much of your computer memory that it may make your broadband Internet run like dial-up. If you take care of all of these, your last step would be to have your computer looked over by a professional for any hardware problems.
Once your computer is up and running again, run a broadband speed test once in a while to make sure everything is up and running, and keep your computer protected from viruses and spyware. If you don’t have antivirus, make sure you get it. Find a good spyware program and take advantage of the free firewall Zone Alarm offers. All of these together will help keep your computer protected.

Pakistan and Youth by Bilal Aslam

When Paksitan emerged on The world map Pakistanis didn't understand the language which their Great leader spoke infront of English people but they supported him by saying "baba keh raha hai theak keh raha hai" means whatever he says is right. This was  because they had faith in him they had believe in him,but today we all agree on that we lack leadership.A leader to group all pakistanis irrespective of cast or language for the prosperity of Nation.
The youth has involved into cancerous activities above all the misuse of face book and cell phones I think you all know what I mean.
If we assess closely we will find only ourselves to blame at "the youth".Today was the Independence day of our nation. The youth just enjoyed it to full and thats it.Their was dancing on the streets which teased brothers, music played loudly, one Wheeling of bikes with no silencer, guys hanging out of car windows and a lot of other listless useless activities..all done by the youth and my point is that we lost the real point of our independence day we just say that our ancestors greatly sacrificed but we don't feel or care for their sacrifice we are only talk not more than.We say our Quaid's motto was unity faith and discipline but we don't care to follow his sayings. Our country is in a state of bother and its time for our youth to step up and get united with the vigour and real zeal of youth...Together we stand together we prosper.May God give us the power of unity and bless us Ameen.
